del.icio.us - keeps a list of your bookmarks; lets you see who else bookmarked it. By viewing tags by people who tagged what you tagged, might find useful related sites.

Yahoo Trip Planner - travel.yahoo.com/trip - trips planned and shared by some of Yahoo's millions of members.
Finding People, Groups
Yahoo People Finder - people.yahoo.com - phone & email searches; Yahoo's member directory plus some white pages; useful email advanced search. Like all other free people finders, lots of errors and false hits/misses.
*Yahoo Groups - groups.yahoo.com - many communities, support groups, searchable and browse with categories on a topic.
Google Groups - groups.google.com - current groups not very large; historical Usenet News database back to 1980's sometimes useful but being eclipsed by blogs.
Publications on the Web
*Google Scholar - scholar.google.com - search for ctations of scholarly articles from web pages and some publishers; useful Adv. Scholar Search; links to some full text; integrated with some university library holdings and proxy servers.
Google Book Search - books.google.com - promising effort to make many books available online full text by digitizing library holdings; lawsuits pending.
Yahoo Subscriptions - search.yahoo.com/web/advanced - in Yahoo Adv. Search, options to search fee-based services like Lexis-Nexis, Consumer Reports, and more.
